But many are weary, hurting their family from overworking, or discouraged in their work. And their efforts to be healthier and more loving as leaders get hijacked by unconscious self-defeating patterns. They need a compassionate and skilled coach who is trained in Jesus’ centered psychology, spirituality, and leadership.
You can be that coach, working with the Spirit of Jesus to help leaders prioritize soul care, set good goals, and become more fruitful in their life, relationships, and work. Plus, as a Christian coach you can earn significant income for your family or qualify for a better job.

About the Certificate in Coaching Program
Drs. Bill and Kristi Gaultiere have been coaching and training Christian leaders like you for over thirty years. They developed the Certificate in Coaching Program to build on their highly successful Certificate in Spiritual Direction Program. Both programs are informed by their Jesus-centered psychology and spirituality.
In this one-year journey with other Christian leaders you will be equipped to begin a professional practice as a coach or to bring excellent coaching skills into your current ministry or job.
The Certificate in Coaching program will prepare you to support clients to reach the goals that are inspired by God, to work on living and leading in Jesus’ easy yoke, and to improve awareness, effectiveness, and competence in personal life, spiritual life, and leadership or work.
This builds on our Certificate in Spiritual Direction program which equips you to facilitate the client engaging with God, deepening their intimacy with Jesus, discerning God’s will, and growing spiritually.

Certificate in Coaching Program Components
1 Institute Retreat in a community of about 40 leaders
18 online classes and supervision groups (90-minutes each)
12 practicum experiences to practice Christian coaching and receive support from your supervisor and peers
8 meetings with a Sr. Coach at Soul Shepherding
We provide you with a Certificate Completion Planner that makes it easy for you to track your progress and earn your certificate.
Certificate in Coaching Program Faculty
Schedule
The Certificate in Coaching Program begins in April of each year but enrollment is open until July 1st. The class meets the second Thursday of every month at 5PM PT.
Completing the Certificate in Spiritual Direction Program is a prerequisite for the Certificate in Coaching Program.
Cost
$369* per month for 12 months (this includes fees for the required Institute retreat).
*Additional costs for coaching sessions, books, and a private room on retreat
** Pastors and missionaries can apply for partial scholarship assistance.
