Nino Johnson serves with Soul Shepherding as a Spiritual Director. He has been certified as a Spiritual Director and Sr. Coach through the Soul Shepherding Institute. Nino has served in ministry as Chaplin in the juvenile detention centers, Youth Pastor, Assistant Pastor and currently as lead Pastor of God’s Place of Worship in Inglewood, Ca. He has served in ministry for over 25 years. He holds a BTh and a MDiv with a concentration in Pastoral and Pre-marital counseling.

Nino and his wife Yavonne live in San Pedro, Ca. They have been married for more than 15 years. He and his wife love spending time with their four granddaughters. Nino also enjoys skiing and taking walks by the ocean.

He was introduced to Soul Shepherding by a friend during a time that he was unknowingly at a wall. He was experiencing many different emotions and frustrations in ministry. He had begun to experience some hostility at the church where he previously pastored, causing him to resign after 2 years. A few days after resigning, with instruction and assistance from God, he and his wife launched God’s Place of Worship. Shortly after the launch of the church, he was introduced to Soul Shepherding. God knew what he needed, and supplied it at the right time. He was wounded and in need of empathy. He was trying to get by on what he was taught, pray harder, and read the bible more. But when he began his journey with Soul Shepherding, he learned that his soul needed care. It was through the Soul Shepherding Institute and spiritual direction that he experienced a revival in his soul. Soul Shepherding has made a tremendous impact in his life. He desires for every person working in ministry, leadership and or missions to experience this refreshing of the soul.

He is so excited to co-labor with Jesus to create a safe place for others to experience the care and healing of their souls through Soul Shepherding.
