Yearning For Soul Talks With Jesus

To help you deepen your intimacy with the Lord the people you live with and care for Kristi and I have started a new Podcast called “Soul Talks.” You can subscribe to these free, 20-minute conversations on iTunes.

You can use the media player below to listen to our first broadcast of “Spiritual Hospitality”!

Intimacy With Christ and Capacity For Christ

Your deepest desire is for intimacy with Christ. To enjoy God’s love and share it with others. To live an adventure with Christ in the Kingdom of God. To have the divine knowledge and power to be a huge blessing to the people around you. This is “the life that is truly life”! (1 Timothy 6:19)

To grow in a Christ-centered and God-saturated life we need to engage in soul talk with friends. Person-to-person bonding and heart-to-heart connections are the stuff of life. Without this we become depressed and anxious. In extreme cases people may literally lose their minds, disengaging from reality and becoming unable to function.

But when one soul touches another in authentic, caring conversation we can experience the warmth of God’s loving presence!

This is why Jesus said, “As the Father has loved me, so have I loved you. Now remain in my love… My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.” (John 15:9, 12)

How to Engage in Soul Talk

But as much as you long for Soul Talk you may not know very well how to do it or who is safe to do it with.

The only way to truly experience the blessing of soul talk is to be invited into it by someone who has already grown in this way of heart and soul intimacy. This is holy ground! This is a place to take off our shoes and sit before the burning bush of the I AM! (Exodus 3:1-6)

Here the conversation of two becomes the conversation of three — with the Spirit of Jesus being the Third! (Matthew 18:18)

In our first broadcast of Soul Talks we say that the hospitality of Christ begins with a demeanor and actions that say, “I’m glad to see you!” It deepens as we offer empathy — “stepping into another’s skin to feel for them” — and prayer. (1 Peter 4:8-9)

We don’t just talk about spiritual hospitality, rather we show you how to do it in a spontaneous conversation. Kristi draws me out and gives me empathy as I share about how a few days earlier I had a difficult time experiencing God’s presence in Sunday worship.

You can use your phone or other computer to subscribe to Soul Talks for free. Just go to the iTunes store and search on “Soul Talks” or “Gaultiere Podcast.”
