Our Story
Soul Shepherding was founded by Drs. Bill and Kristi Gaultiere, who know firsthand the challenges of leadership. After 30 years working as therapists, spiritual directors, and pastors, they founded Soul Shepherding in 2009 to support Christian leaders like you.
Mentored by Dallas and Jane Willard, they’ve created a unique model that integrates Christ-centered psychology with spiritual formation. Their vision is to help you lead from a place of emotional and spiritual health, just as they have learned to do.

What God is Doing
What began as a small, intentional ministry has now grown to reach thousands of leaders worldwide – pastors, missionaries, spiritual directors, coaches, counselors, and more – helping them experience personal renewal and lead vibrant, healthy ministries.
God has put together a Soul Shepherding team that is passionate about walking alongside you on your journey. All of our ministry staff have earned a Certificate in Spiritual Direction from the Soul Shepherding Institute and many also have graduate degrees in ministry, theology, or psychology. They have experience as pastors, missionaries, or counselors and know firsthand the challenges and joys of serving in ministry.

We are deeply and joyfully committed to following Jesus Christ and becoming more like him. Our beliefs are grounded in the teachings of Jesus and the Bible. We affirm the historic Christian faith, centered in the love of God the Father, the Lordship of Jesus Christ, and the presence and power of the Holy Spirit. We celebrate the diversity of Christian traditions and the spreading of Jesus’ Gospel to all people everywhere.
