Nan serves with Soul Shepherding as a spiritual director, a soul care group leader for pastor’s wives, and as a supervisor in the Institute and Spiritual Direction training program. She and her husband, who is an ordained pastor, have partnered together in ministry since 1986. They have served churches in California, Colorado, and Utah.
She has 27 years of teaching experience, holds a credential in elementary education, and a BA in Psychology. She is a retired elementary school teacher and enjoys serving in a variety of ministry roles such as media team, hospitality, small group leader, and women’s ministries.
Nan enrolled in the Soul Shepherding Institute as well as the Spiritual Direction Training during a season of transition, personal heartache, and much needed rest. She received God’s gifts of renewed joy, hope, and peace. The Institute and Training was truly one of the most grounding and healing experiences of her own spiritual journey. She sees great value in cultivating a sacred space for empathy, centered around prayerful conversations, and God’s loving grace. Accompanying others on their journey of faith with Jesus, through all seasons of life, is a ministry she is deeply drawn to.
She and her husband recently moved to Carpinteria, California to be closer to family. They have two adult married children and one adorable granddaughter. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
