Joan serves with Soul Shepherding as a Spiritual Director and an Enneagram Coach.  She has been certified as a Spiritual Director through the Soul Shepherding Institute in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care.  Joan has also been certified as an Enneagram Coach and has been trained in lay counseling as a Stephen Minister.  She and her husband Steve serve on Soul Shepherding’s board and have hosted the Soul Shepherding Institute in their home for more than a decade.

Joan has observed firsthand the transformation that occurs in the pastors and leaders who participate in the Soul Shepherding Institute.  She believes that the gift that we offer back to God is the person that we become.  It is her privilege to offer a safe environment for others to deepen their relationship with the Lord and to learn to care for their own souls so that they can thrive as they follow Christ and collaborate with Him in all of life.

Joan lives in California, but you will often find her traveling out of state to the homes of her three adult kids (now friends) and delighting in time with her six grands.
