Listen to This Episode of Soul Talks

We continue the Lent journey of “Unforsaken.” Under the weight of the cross Jesus falls — into his Abba’s arms of love! With his mother Mary we feel his burden. Then we realize Jesus falls for us! With perfect, saving empathy he’s taking on our burden.

Stations 3 and 4 in “Unforsaken: With Jesus on the Stations of the Cross” We invite you to join Bill and Kristi week-by-week on their journey during Lent.

  • Oh my, how meaningful was this Podcast, for me! I always have wanted to be the “strong” one in the family for my parents years ago, then for my wife, daughters and Grandkids. Now with MS I cannot do all I used to and I do fall. Literally, and I am wanting others to not see but they do at times. I also had vision problems and could no longer read even with glasses. My Mother who always was a good writer and reader, at age 67, made a cassette recording of her reading St Mark for me to listen. It was such a Blessing and though she has passed after her 86th year in 2014, I have her cassettes and have had them converted to CDs. Her compassion and love helped me get up from MS and I walk even though I may fall at times and I now have had surgery to be able to read. Jesus and Mary were strong and compassionate and they and my own Mother helped me get through whatever. I recall “Yea though I walk through the valley” and through is the important word for me as it implies and confirms that I will emerge after the trials and His love is there during, through and after any stumbles. We are Blessed by Jesus and Mary and our family who have followed Jesus and through them, HE continues to Bless us.

    • Jan-Michael, thank you for sharing how the Lord has been with you through your trial and my prayers are with you today. “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4 Grateful to our Lord that He is always with us in our darkest times to give us the strength we need and comfort us in our pain and hurt.
