Wendy serves with Soul Shepherding as a Spiritual Director and a facilitator for Soul Shepherding’s, Group Spiritual Direction. She has been certified as a Spiritual Director through the Soul Shepherding Institute. Her current role at her church is to train, build, and lead ministry through prayer.

Wendy previously worked in early childhood development in private and public school systems, which sparked her interest in spiritual formation. Her desire grew, leading her to multiple certifications including pastoral care, coaching, and prayer.

Wendy has been a leader of the church for over 30 years, encouraging, developing, and training upcoming leaders as well as walking with people in prayer and care. Working with church staff has grown a special sensitivity to the struggles and isolation felt by those called to lead in the church. Her deepest desire is to create a safe space for people of all stages and phases to pay attention to the presence of God while living out their faith in everyday life situations.

Wendy discovered the Soul Shepherding network while looking for resources for prayer and spiritual development. After years of following the institute and watching it grow, she had the opportunity to attend retreats, spiritual direction sessions, and the spiritual direction training program finding helpful resources for her inner journey.

Wendy and her husband live in Orange County, California with their bernedoodle, Winnie. They have three grown daughters, three son-in-laws, and a growing number of grandkids! All three of her children with their spouses are shepherding and cultivating life in their local churches.

She values time with family and friends in intimate settings. For recreation, she enjoys being outdoors, exploring, or gardening!
