Lorie Chance serves joyfully as a certified Spiritual Director with Soul Shepherding. As a professional missionary, she knows too well the dangers of over-functioning in ministry work. She feels called to assist individuals who are in crisis, stuck, grieving, healing, growing or are in desperate need of spiritual renewal. She has a passion for helping others attune to God’s voice and sense the nearness of His presence. Her desire is to help her clients foster deep intimacy with Christ as well as develop healthy rhythms of holy work and holy rest that are joyfully submitted to the Lord.
Lorie was led to the ministry of Soul Shepherding with an invitation from God, “How can I do something through you unless you first let me do something in you?” As a former K-12 teacher, active university student mentor, and discipleship and spiritual formation specialist, she enjoys helping others to stop and listen for God’s current invitation.
Lorie lives in Greeley, Colorado with her husband, daughters and their beloved goldendoodle. Affectionately known for her endless hobbies, she enjoys leading others in habits of happy health as a Group Fitness Instructor, hiking, gardening, water-coloring, and reading. She has a deep respect for the necessary practices of spiritual, physical and creative disciplines.
