Katie Steele is a Spiritual Director with Soul Shepherding and has served in vocational ministry roles for the last ten years. Her personal journey through grief and loss allows her to accompany people through difficult times in their own lives. 

Her journey with Soul Shepherding began during recovery from brain surgery when Bill Gaultiere’s book Your Best Life in Jesus’ Easy Yoke brought her unexpected peace. Two years later, while on sabbatical, she and her husband Brian attended a Soul Shepherding retreat and sensed a divine invitation to pursue the program.

Katie considers it an honor to create sacred space with Jesus, where others can truly belong, flourish, and engage authentically with the Lord. She guides people in soul care, helping them grow healthy and strong in their relationship with Jesus. She is a speaker in church, ministry and retreat settings with a passion to help people grow in their identity as beloved sons and daughters in Christ.

Katie and Brian live in Bellingham, Washington, treasuring time with their son, daughter-in-law, granddaughter, and Australian Labradoodle, Banner. She finds joy on mountaintops or barefoot in her garden. Her life verses include Romans 8, Psalm 27, Psalm 34, and John 17.
