Soul Shepherding is for you and your ministry! Our ministry events are designed to facilitate your intimacy with Jesus and soul care so that you can be more effective in loving other people in Jesus’ name.

Soul Shepherding is a 501c3 nonprofit organization supported primarily by tax deductible donations from individuals. Bill serves full time as a pastor, psychologist, and spiritual director in this ministry. Most of our events listed below are free (consider a “love offering”) and open to visitors. Contact us if you have questions.

Thirst!: “Peace. Be Still.”

A spiritual formation gathering featuring teaching, Scripture meditation experiences, and discussion to help you grow closer to Jesus and be strengthened for life and ministry to others.
Next meeting: May 1st, Wednesday 7 pm to 8:30 pm.

No registration required. You’ll have opportunity to donate to Soul Shepherding.
 
You know the story of Jesus and the disciples in their boat on the Sea of Galilee. A fierce storm comes up and Jesus is sleeping! The disciples panic and Jesus calms the storm! But don’t miss the hidden miracle that Jesus is napping peacefully during the life-threatening storm. We’ll be doing a meditation on Rembrandt’s famous painting In the Storm on the Sea of Galilee. (Follow the link to see it.)
This will include discussion and meditation on Mark 4:35-41, meditation on color pictures of Rembrandt’s painting, quiet prayer, journaling, and question and answer.

Still Waters: A Day with the Good Shepherd

Friday May 10, 9 am to 2 pm
Day Retreat for Pastors, Ministry Leaders & Caregivers
Led by Bill & Kristi Gaultiere
@ our Home in Irvine. 
In ministry and caregiving we’re prone to do too much, move too fast, and try too hard to make people happy. But our most effective work and caring come from being with Jesus at the still waters.
This is a day for you to grow as a spiritual leader. We’ll guide you in Scripture meditation and prayer, listening to God, and about three hours of solitude and silence with Jesus. You’ll have space for your soul in our home or at the adjacent park or lake.
Come alone or bring your spouse, friend, or ministry colleague. Retreat resources provided. Bring your own bag lunch, Bible, journal, water, and, if needed, sun screen, walking shoes, and a lawn chair.

TLC

TLC is “To Love Christ”
5-day retreats for pastors, pastors’ wives, and other ministry leaders/caregivers (as singles or couples)
April 22-26, 2013 @ Lake Arrowhead, CA
September 16-20, 2013 @ Forest Home in Forest Falls, CA
Spring and Fall 2014 dates to be scheduled

The TLC retreats and soul training feature spiritual direction from Bill and Kristi, extended solitude and silence, teaching in a conversational style, Lectio Divina and other guided spiritual formation experiences. TLC retreats can be combined to earn a Certificate in Spiritual Formation and Soul Care Ministry.

Each TLC Retreat will include only six to twelve pastors/leaders so space is very limited. Scholarships are available. More info.

Soul Therapy Days

We offer private retreats of one or two days for individual ministry leaders, ministry couples, and church groups. Soul Therapy days are affordable and customized for you. These retreats feature meditation on Bible passages, extended silence and solitude with Jesus, and guided sharing and prayer in community. Soul Therapy Days can include intensive counseling or spiritual direction. They also can be oriented toward discerning God’s direction.

Soul Care Groups

We lead monthly spiritual formation groups in Irvine, CA. Bill leads groups for male pastors and Kristi leads groups for pastor’s wives and women in ministry. Each month we offer small group meetings and/or retreat days that are free of charge. Prospective participants can contact Bill or Kristi.

We Can Speak for Your Group

Since 1986 we’ve been leading seminars, classes, and retreats customized for specific groups at various churches, homes, and other settings. For instance, one such group that meets monthly at the home of one of our Soul Shepherding Board members is called “Intimacy with Jesus.” (Most of our ministry events are private like this and are not listed on this page.) Contact us to explore how we can help your church or group.
