Soul Shepherding is for you and your ministry! Our ministry events are designed to facilitate your intimacy with Jesus and soul care so that you can be more effective in loving other people in Jesus’ name.
Soul Shepherding is a 501c3 nonprofit organization supported primarily by tax deductible donations from individuals. Bill serves full time as a pastor, psychologist, and spiritual director in this ministry. All of our events listed below are free and open to visitors unless indicated otherwise. Thirst
Thirst! is a monthly gathering of Soul Shepherding friends and visitors who want to grow in our intimacy with Jesus and live more fruitful lives as his apprentices. At each meeting Kristi and I introduce a Soul Shepherding experience that you can incorporate into your personal devotions and ministry to others. Meetings include Bible teaching with a view toward spiritual formation in Christ, Scripture meditations and prayers, and question and answer.

A turning point came when God showed me a single wildflower and reminded me of Jesus’ teaching about flowers. To people like us who get hurried and harried Jesus teaches us to look at the flowers in the field — they bloom where they are planted, blossoming in the sunshine of the Father’s care. Learning from the wildflower we’ll learn how to do all that we do as Jesus’ apprentice in the kingdom of the heavens. We discover this to be a worry free life!
You Can Live in Jesus’ Easy Yoke

We’ll share with you the best of the Bible teaching and Soul Shepherding experiences from this book. We’ll help you step into Jesus’ easy yoke and take this into the challenges of your life. We’ll guide you in experiences with praying the Scriptures.

Are you a pastor, pastor’s wife, missionary, or other ministry leader? The heart of Soul Shepherding is to minister to you through counseling, spiritual mentoring, groups, and retreats. The costs of our ministry to you are subsidized by our ministry partners.
Retreats
We offer retreat days from our home that are open to any pastor and free of charge. Upcoming dates for male pastors in 2012 include: February 6, February 9, October 1, October 4.
Upcoming “Embrace” retreat dates for pastors and their wives include May 30 and June 3.
Soul Therapy Days
We also offer private retreats of one or two days for individual ministry leaders, ministry couples, and church groups. Soul Therapy days are affordable and customized for for you. These retreats feature meditation on Bible passages, extended silence and solitude with Jesus, and guided sharing and prayer in community. Soul Therapy Days can include intensive counseling or spiritual direction. They also can be oriented toward discerning God’s direction.
Soul Shepherd Groups
We lead monthly spiritual formation groups in Irvine, CA. Bill leads groups for male pastors and Kristi leads groups for pastor’s wives and women in ministry. Each month we offer small group meetings and/or retreat days that are free of charge. Prospective participants can contact Bill or Kristi.
We Can Speak for Your Group
Since 1986 we’ve been leading seminars, classes, and retreats customized for specific groups at various churches, homes, and other settings. For instance, one such group that meets monthly at the home of one of our Soul Shepherding Board members is called “Intimacy with Jesus.” (Most of our ministry events are private like this and are not listed on this page.)
