Book Appointment
Michelle serves with Soul Shepherding as a Spiritual Director.  She has a spiritual direction practice and also teaches a women’s bible study.

Michelle has a Juris Doctor in International Law and briefly worked in the nonprofit world before focusing her energies on being a pastor’s wife and mother.  She has occupied many roles within the church, including leading a small group ministry, co-leading a prayer ministry, leading a women’s bible study program and teaching. In 2016 she published a book entitled, Forty: The Year My Husband Became a Quadriplegic, detailing her husband’s tragic accident and its aftermath.  She is currently working on a book of devotionals. Having lived in seven countries, Michelle has a passion for those living and working cross-culturally.

Michelle went through the Soul Shepherding Institute during a difficult international move. She found the rich teaching and time with other pastors and ministers to be a crucial support during an uncertain season.  Through Soul Shepherding’s Spiritual Direction Training program, Michelle fulfilled a long-held dream to become a certified Spiritual Director.  It is her privilege to walk alongside others, listening and looking for God’s redemptive work in their story.

Michelle is an avid reader, an amateur photographer, and an intrepid traveler.  She has three wonderful sons and currently resides with her husband and best friend Steve in Portland, Oregon.
