JD serves with Soul Shepherding as a Sr. Coach and Sr. Spiritual Director. He is an ordained minister with Southlands Church where he currently serves in the areas of global missions and local outreach. 

JD has been planting and pastoring churches in the United States and overseas for almost 20 years. He is passionate about seeing new churches planted that engage well with their communities, with a particular focus on partnership with local non-profit organizations. 

JD completed the Soul Shepherding Institute and Spiritual Direction certificate training with the hopes of helping more leaders take space to care for their souls. He believes that the key to persevering and flourishing in ministry is to be deeply rooted in your identity as a child of God. 

JD and his wife Michele live in Brea, CA and have three children entering the teenage years. In his free time he loves to hunt, surf, and travel with his family.
