Dave serves with Soul Shepherding as a Spiritual Director and Coach. He is the Lead Pastor for a large church in California’s Central Valley, where he has served for over 30 years.

He has an M.A. degree from California Theological Seminary. He and his wife Gena also have completed the Soul Shepherding Institute and Spiritual Direction certificate training.  They have also led a Soul Shepherding Institute retreat in Rwanda, Africa.

In a season of weariness and spiritual dryness, he went on Sabbatical and found Soul Shepherding. Today more than ever he is passionate about helping people move one step closer to Jesus and helping leaders and pastors find a healthy rhythm of ministry for the long haul. He especially brings much experience and coaching to Pastors seeking Sabbaticals. He loves to engage with others in ministry and is especially appreciated for his authenticity, grace, and humor.

Dave and Gena live in Turlock, CA and have four grown children and one amazing grandson.
