Step Into Jesus’ Easy Yoke

Listen to Bill with Kristi share this seminar:

We strain and stress. We hurry and worry. We think it’s normal. We say, “It’s hard to be a Christian!” But Jesus says, “Come to me… My yoke is easy.” Easy? Yes, easy!

Jesus’s easy yoke is, of course, a yoke. It means submitting to him and following his lead. It means helping him to pull his load, to do the work of his kingdom. Getting into the yoke is not easy. Learning to stay in the yoke is not easy — it requires training. By training with Jesus we can indeed learn to live “freely and lightly” with him and his Father in their “rhythms of grace.” (Matthew 11:25-30)

Our Biblical insights and personal examples will help you understand practically what Jesus’ easy yoke is and how you can live, work, and relate with people in that easy yoke.

This seminar includes Bill leading the group in a Lectio Divina meditation on Matthew 11:25-30 (MSG). Here’s the Lectio Divina Guide: “Step Into Jesus’ Easy Yoke.”

This message that was given at Thirst! on 2/27/2013.

For more on Lectio Divina, check out our online video course: “Digging Deeper in God’s Word.” (This course features seven videos of about 10 to 20 minutes. It also includes handouts and a small group leader’s guide. It’s easy to use and inexpensive!)
