140 – PA: Ministry in the Smile of the Father

Most of us in ministry can be tempted to try too hard.  We tend to put too much time, worry, and stress to make people happy. This can get exhausting and turn into burn-out.  Over-preparing is a way that we deal with the anxiety. Join Bill and Kristi as they share a blessing of prayer and affirmation for leaders and share their journey of learning to depend on the Lord in ministry settings.

119 – Courage: Success is Not Sufficient

We all want to be a success, but we often lose track of what that really means. Jesus has a different definition of success. When we exchange our definition for his, it brings relief, freedom and joy! In this episode, Bill & Kristi explore significance of letting go and receiving Jesus easy yoke, and the true success of ministering out of the overflow of Jesus love for us!

Unhurried With Jesus — Even at Christmastime!

In the craziness of this season, we often find ourselves hurried and stressed. When we are overwhelmed, it becomes difficult to take care of ourselves and love those around us. Jesus was never in a hurry! In this episode, Bill and Kristi remind us that Jesus is inviting us to rest with him. Take a moment to slow down and rest in Abba’s presence, as Bill leads us through a meditation to remember Jesus’s “easy yoke”.

Healthy Boundaries for the Holidays

Jesus accepted his personal limits and this helped him enjoy life and be loving. In John 7 we see an example of our Lord setting a boundary on a holiday. We discuss this and other Biblical examples of how “less is more” — for Advent and for daily life. Saying no helps you say yes when it’s most important!

Advent: Relaxed and Fruitful With Jesus

Let’s appreciate the coming of Christ this Advent season! To do that, we invite you into a fun Nativity meditation that fosters soul talk with friends. Also we discuss examples of Jesus inviting us into his “easy yoke” to be relaxed and fruitful in stressful times — like the busyness of the Christmas season!

The Unbusy Leader

“How are you?” Whatever our work, or even if we’re retired, often we answer, “Busy!” But CS Lewis taught, “Only lazy people are busy!” How can this be? The most effective and fruitful leadership is born out of rest, prayer, and discernment — it’s not just working hard, it’s working SMART!
