Rest and Work in Jesus’ Easy Yoke

October 17, 2014
8:30 am – 1:00 pm (Friday)

A Still Waters Retreat Day

For Ministry Leaders and Caregivers

Led by Bill & Kristi Gaultiere

Jesus says, “Come to me… For my yoke is easy and my burden is light…” (Matt. 11:28-30) He’s not inviting us to a perpetual vacation — he’s teaching us how to do our work and ministry with our souls at rest with him in the Father’s world. Jesus practiced what he preached! He lived in the easy yoke of the Father, so he says, “Walk with me and work with me — watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace…” (Matt. 11:28-30, MSG)

We hope you can join us for this day of soul care and prayer. We’ll begin in community with Scripture meditation. Most of the day will be spent in guided solitude and silence to help you further your intimacy with Jesus and be strengthened for ongoing ministry. You’ll have space to listen and “be” with God in our home or at the adjacent park or lake. Then we’ll finish in community with a time to check in and pray for one another.

This retreat is free! (Donations to Soul Shepherding are appreciated.) Come alone or bring your spouse, friend, or ministry colleague. Retreat resources will be provided. Bring your own bag lunch, Bible, journal, water, and, if needed, sun screen, walking shoes, and a lawn chair.

Space is limited. Contact us for more info, directions, and to RSVP.
