Prince of Peace Abbey Retreat

July 21, 2014
Mon 1 pm – Wed 3 pm

Led by Bill Gaultiere

We have a few spaces left if you’d like to join me at my favorite retreat center: Prince of Peace Abbey, a Benedictine monastery. (You could come with your friend or spouse.) I’ve enjoyed sharing this place of beauty, simplicity, and prayer with others in a number of retreats I’ve led here over the last 12 years. This retreat is limited to a small group of participants so that I can provide spiritual direction or pastoral counseling for each participant.

During these three days you’ll experience exceptional space for your soul in God’s presence. We’ll begin and end each day with a soul care group for you to share and receive prayer and guidance from me. Most of each day will be free space for you and Jesus to relax. You can walk and pray on nature trails, read and reflect, or take a nap. And you may want to go through the Stations of the Cross. (I’ll provide a Biblical devotional guide for this that I’ve written.) You will also have the option of attending some of the five daily prayer services with the monks as they chant the Psalms. (Their peaceful, worshipful singing seems to flow from heaven right into our hearts and stay there!)

Bring your Bible and journal, simple clothing and toiletries — and not much else! Plan to be unplugged from all media and responsibilities (as a cleansing fast) and plugged into Jesus in his Father’s world!

The cost of this retreat is $350, payable to “Soul Shepherding.” This covers all the aspects of your retreat, loding, and meals. (If you need financial help you can ask for a partial scholarship.) To register and pay you can use our secure Donate button online or mail a check. Contact me to register or if you have questions.
