Bill GaultiereWilliam Gaultiere, Ph.D. is a Psychologist, spiritual director, and ordained pastor specializing in “Christian Soul Care” since 1986.  Bill and his wife Kristi (a Marriage and Family Therapist) have a donor supported ministry to pastors and leaders called Soul Shepherding.  In counseling, spiritual mentoring, seminars and retreats Bill and Kristi help people to connect honestly and deeply with Christ in ways that facilitate soul transformation.

On a part time basis Bill has served on the pastoral staff at the Crystal Cathedral since 1994, currently as the Director of Spiritual Formation Ministries. As part of his ministry there he has trained over 1,000 lay “New Hope Counselors.” He speaks at many churches and Christian conferences and has taught courses in psychology and spirituality at the graduate school level for Azusa Pacific University, California Graduate School of Theology, and Hope International University.  He is author of three books and is currently writing a book titled, Praying Psalm 23 with Jesus.

Bill’s personal mission statement is “Being with Jesus to become like him.”  His life and ministry have been profoundly shaped by years of personal mentoring from Ray Ortlund and Dallas Willard.  Bill enjoys hiking, jogging, praying the Psalms, reading the classics of Christian devotion, writing prayer poems, and spending extended time in silence and solitude with Jesus, especially at the Prince of Peace Abbey in Oceanside, CA.
